How Women-Only Cycling Holidays Build Confidence
When I first discovered AlpRide, I was searching for a #WomenOnlyCyclingHoliday that offered more than just exercise. I wanted an experience that combined adventure, wellness, and the opportunity to meet new people. As someone who enjoys being active, I was immediately interested. However, I had never joined a cycling holiday before, which made me feel both excited and nervous. Questions kept running through my mind: Would I be fit enough? Would I connect with the group? Nevertheless, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and book the trip.
From the moment I arrived in the French Alps, I felt that I had made the right decision. Not only was the scenery breathtaking, but the peaceful atmosphere also helped me relax instantly. Surrounded by impressive mountain peaks, green valleys, and fresh air, I already felt disconnected from the stress of everyday life. Furthermore, the accommodation was welcoming and perfectly located near the cycling routes.
On the first evening, I met the other women participating in the trip. While some had travelled with friends, many had arrived alone, just like me. As a result, it was easy to start conversations and connect with others. Moreover, everyone shared a similar interest in adventure, wellness, and personal growth, which created an open and supportive environment from the very beginning.
The following morning, our first cycling route began. Almost immediately, I realised that AlpRide truly lives up to its slogan: "Your Pace. Your People." Rather than focusing on competition, the guides encouraged us to cycle at our own pace and enjoy the experience. Consequently, I felt much more comfortable and was able to appreciate the stunning landscapes around me.

One of the most memorable moments occurred on the third day. We were cycling up a steep mountain road while enjoying incredible views of the #FrenchAlps. Halfway through the climb, I started to struggle. My legs felt heavy, and for a moment I doubted whether I could reach the top. However, one of the women in the group noticed this and slowed down to cycle beside me. She encouraged me to keep going and reminded me that we were all there to support one another. Thanks to her encouragement, I continued climbing and eventually reached the summit. At that moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of pride and accomplishment.
In addition to the cycling routes, the trip offered much more than I had expected. Throughout the week, we visited charming villages, enjoyed local French cuisine, and learned more about the region's culture. Meanwhile, the evenings provided time to relax, reflect, and share stories with the group. Therefore, the combination of cycling and #WellnessTravel created the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation.
Three Things I Loved Most About AlpRide
- 01 The supportive women-only atmosphere.
- 02 The breathtaking scenery of the #FrenchAlps.
- 03 The sense of achievement after every ride.
Of course, not everything was easy. Some routes were more challenging than I had anticipated, and my legs were definitely sore after a few days. Nevertheless, overcoming these challenges made the experience even more rewarding. In fact, each difficult climb helped me become more confident and resilient.
Overall, this #CyclingHoliday was much more than a vacation. It was an opportunity to challenge myself, create meaningful friendships, and experience the beauty of the French Alps in a unique way. As a result, I returned home feeling stronger, more confident, and inspired to continue exploring. If you are looking for #AdventureTravel that combines personal growth, community, and unforgettable scenery, I would highly recommend AlpRide. Whether you are an experienced cyclist or simply searching for an #ActiveHolidayForWomen, this is an experience that will stay with you long after the journey ends.
